Faces, and above all eyes. Women veiled in saffron and red, a nose-ring catching light, a child mid-laugh, gods in blue, and the icons I grew up seeing on posters, painted again in my own colours.

Many of these began as commissions. Each is an attempt to catch the essence of a person rather than only their likeness.
